Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) is a lot of fun and I'm trying to do more of it. I love abstract art and this is a way to achieve it with a camera in my hand. I shot this last fall on a particularly foggy day on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I wanna say was something like f/22 with a polarizer trying to buy all the time I could to slow the shutter down to get the movement I wanted. On tripod, I moved from top to bottom to blur the trees and leaves. These aren't easy to do- at least not to do well. It takes a lot of practice to get good at taking blurry photos! This one landed me a finalist spot in the 17th annual Appalachian Mountain Photography Contest. It didn't win, I certainly didn't expect it to (certainly not against the other entries in landscape, man there were some really good ones!) but I'm proud it at least made finalist.

Nice image here Terri. I've tried to do these myself and you're right, it isn't easy. Wish I knew how.
