Blue Ridge Doe in dense Ferns and Laurels at forests edge. A doe looking at me curiously from the forest edge in dense Fern and Laurels cover. Went out to a few spots looking for deer this day. Found plenty but this one takes the cake.

I've found that it helps to look at deer only through the camera. If you make eye contact and don't happen to have a camera attached to your face they get "spooked". The average lifespan of a wild whitetail deer is just 4 years. That explains why they're unable to identify a human with a camera for a face. Once you remove that camera though...poof.
