Cullasaja Falls in Autumn

This photo of Cullasaja Falls west of Highlands, NC is from back in mid-October this year during a Sunday drive with my wife.

Conditions were great as it had just stopped raining. Colors were incredible. I've never taken a good photo of Cullasaja but I sort of like this one. Too bad the trees have grown so tall that the entire falls really can't be photographed well.

Some may say my composition is a bit off as the waterfall is set in the lower portion of the falls. However, I just couldn't not show the color show going on above it. Using a shorter focal length would have only brought in more distractions to the main show.

I happen to like the composition. You are showing off the amazing fall colors more than the waterfall itself. Looks great to me!
