I took this shot at the top of Black Balsam Knob just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Pisgah National Forest. A heavy cloud inversion helped create little islands as mountain tops peaked through. The golden glow was from the sun rising just to the left of the frame.

Yea, we are lucky to live where we live. Nice size mountains with cloud inversions are pretty common to come across, I love photographing them.
