The Merlion is a prevalent symbol of Singapore. The Mermaid-Lion has been welcoming the tourists of Singapore ever since 1972, which is about 48 years!
The Singaporeans hold the Merlion as their pride and joy. I clicked this picture during my family trip in the summer of '18.
