The Sand Cave resides in Lee County Virginia, it belongs to the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. To get here you have to hike in the back country for 4.5 miles with a 2,800 ft elevation gain. The trail is rocky, rooty and straight up. The cave itself is about 40 yards wide and about 50 yards deep.The forest sits right at the edge of the cave.

I do too. Is it 4.5 mi one way? Might fb message you. Prob something Ill have to wait on. But thats a really unique location.
