Sunset from the Foothills

I was out on the Foothills Parkway with my wife when we came to this overlook near the Maryville, TN. This overlook had an open view, with a cloudless sky. I waited until the sun dropped enough to cast direct light onto the mountains to help and some color. The blue tones quickly turned purple. I also really liked the height of this one tree on the ridge in front of me, so I decided to include it and add another layer to this image.
